The SleepStyle 200 Series CPAP Systems by Fisher & Paykel offer versatile design while delivering comfortable and effective therapy through standard, enhanced, and truly integrated CPAP devices with recording capability. Used to assist patient breathing while sleeping for the treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), the SleepStyle 200 Series CPAP delivers continuous positive airway pressure to prevent airway obstruction.
Two models are available, one with a heated humidifier and one without a humidifier. The addition of heated respiratory humidification relieves the drying and irritating effects on the user's airways, which usually results from the use of a CPAP system. This device is intended for adult patients at home or in the sleep lab.
A common side effect of conventional humidifiers is the accumulation of water (condensation) in the breathing tube, resulting in disruptive gurgling noises, tube vibrations, and mask pressure instability. The SleepStyle 200 with heated humidification features Fisher & Paykel's Ambient Tracking Plus which balances humidity to compensate for changes in room temperature and minimize condensation that interferes with pressure and flow, and compensates for humidity loss during leaks, thereby maximizing humidity. Both Sleep Style 200 series CPAP machines have been designed with integrated simplicity in mind. The 'truly integrated' compact design is a common feature of all standard and humidified models within the series. An intuitive navigation menu is common on both models, where both providers and patients can upgrade therapy conveniently using an electronic key.
